Anderson County is excited to announce the launch of a new, enhanced emergency alert system designed to keep residents better informed and improve response times in times of crisis. The system includes Smart911, a secure platform that allows residents to create personalized safety profiles for use by first responders during emergencies.

 

Through Smart911, residents can voluntarily provide critical information about their household, including:

 

  • Functional needs or medical conditions

  • Home addresses and layouts

  • Emergency contacts and family details

  • Pet information

  • Vehicle descriptions and more​

This information is only visible to 9-1-1 dispatchers and emergency personnel when a call is made from a registered phone number, helping them respond faster and more effectively in emergencies.
