Will there be more than one pickup?
-
Yes, the crews will continue to come back multiple times for a limited time to make sure all debris is removed. Make sure to keep debris within 10 foot of the roadway. You may push additional debris to the roadway once the crews finish their initial pickup. ​

Will the crews pick up on private roads?

At this time the crews will not pick up on private roadways. If you can get your debris to a public right of way the crews will pick it up from there. ​

When will debris pick up start?

Crews will be in areas starting pickup October 14th and continue until all debris is removed from right of ways.​

How long will debris pick up continue?

We anticipate debris pick up to take a minimum of 60 days. ​

When will my debris be picked up?​

Contractors will take a systematic approach and will move through the county in sectors to pick up debris. We recommend debris be at the roadway by October 14. ​

Can you get the tree out of my back yard?

No, the contractor and county can only pick up 10 feet from the roadway. ​

Debris Removal
Anderson County has contracted with the SCDOT to provide vegetative debris pick up on all state and county roadways.
The following municipalities have also contracted with the SCDOT to provide the same services on their city roadways.

Guidelines

Vegetative Debris Only
-
Debris should be at the roadway by October 14, 2024.

Debris must be within 10 feet of the roadway (DO NOT PUT DEBRIS IN THE ROADWAY)​

Any size vegetative debris will be accepted

Suggested size of debris (no larger than 12 foot in length)

Only vegetative debris will be picked up (Trees, Brush, Etc.)
-
No trash or bagged vegetative debris will be accepted.
-
Vegetation needs to be clear of fire hydrants, meters, mailboxes, cars, and utility poles / pedestals.
